Green Oak
2021 - Arcueil, France

Construction of an office building using timber and concrete

32-34 avenue Aristide Briand, Arcueil (94)

The Green Oak building, co-signed by the agencies CALQ and Mootz & Pelé, has 8 levels of offices and is located in Arcueil (Val-de-Marne).

The use of wood is a strong point of the architectural design. Combined with concrete, wood allows Green Oak to achieve environmental excellence, while offering the flexibility and performance sought by users.

The structure consists of concrete slabs and a wood-framed wall facade with ventilated glass mosaic cladding. The installation of a ventilated cladding on panels over 18 m in height, with mosaic returns on the whole periphery of the frames, required the obtaining of a Technical Experimentation Assessment (ATEx).

When used for the structure (facades and ceiling joists), the wood is left exposed on the inside, which gives a special atmosphere to the office floors. These also benefit from excellent luminosity (85% of the surface area in daylight).

Generously glazed, panoramic, open to two vast terraces overlooking the landscape of the city, and benefiting from an exceptional ceiling height, the eighth floor is conducive to hosting a sky-lobby dedicated to the exceptional events that mark the collective life of a company.
