2021 - Paris, France

Creation of 21 new rooms in the 5* hotel residence Le Claridge

74 avenue des Champs Elysées, Paris 8e

Built in 1914, the hotel Le Claridge was not yet open when it was requisitioned by the Ministry of Armaments during the First World War. The establishment opened in 1918 and was very successful in the 1920s. During the Second World War, the hotel was again requisitioned by the French and then the German Army. After the war, the hotel once again became a meeting place for rich tourists, businessmen and celebrities. The Claridge closed its doors in 1976 and then reopened under the operation of the Fraser group. The facades and roofs are listed as historical monuments.

A 5* hotel residence with 114 rooms, Le Claridge has an occupancy rate of over 80%. CALQ's interior design team was commissioned to increase the capacity by creating 21 new rooms with a more contemporary feel. The new apartments are fully designed and furnished to provide living, dining, cooking and sleeping spaces, as well as an office area. They have been imagined in a very Parisian elegant design. The coherence of the project is revealed by a black line, a discreet detail used throughout the interior decoration.
